I'm back! Happy March 1st!
Yes - I took an extra day - actually I thought about taking today as well and just making it a whole week away - but heck, I'm here and I almost have the laundry caught up, so why not get to work.
I had an absolutely awesome time in Indiana with my Mom. If you're lucky enough to live near your mom, great! But those of you that don't and miss your mom, you know what I mean. We watched TONS of movies. The Descendants was the best. If you have not seen that movie, it is worth watching. Why George did not get the Oscar, I will never know??? They gave it to a French actor? For a black and white movie where he doesn't even speak? Maybe I'm not "cultured" enough to appreciate it. But hey, I KNOW what I like, and The Descendants should have gotten best pic and George should have gotten best actor.
So today - unbelievable. We're under a tornado watch last night and today it's 70 and sunny? Bizarre. My heart goes out to all those affected by the tornadoes that came crashing through the past couple of days. The damage is incredible, and the lives lost, heartbreaking. I always hear these great stories of heroism when people are faced with danger - and these tornadoes have been no different. So many people put their own safety in harms way for others. America is so awesome. We are an awesome people. I love this country.
Tonight it's leftover tacos, pumpkin bars and fruit salad. I might make some popcorn. The kids are out of school tomorrow and we're going to rent Tower Heist. Looks like it will be hilarious. OH and The Walking Dead -OMG - did you see it this past Sunday?? I was literally on the edge of my seat. I had to stop it midway through. I almost could NOT watch the rest. I asked my son (who had already seen it), is this going to end VERY badly. He assured my I could withstand the ending. LOL Was a great episode. Yes... even work at home moms love The Walking Dead. Almost as much as World of Warcraft!
