From the Desk of Kelly:
Had a great weekend. Didn't do a darn thing - but it was nice.
The kids and I hung out Friday night and watched Uncle Buck. Yep - from
1989! The kids loved it. John Candy was a funny guy. We ordered take out from the pizza
place down the road and really just chilled out. It's very rare that I just lay around and
watch TV - but I really enjoyed myself.
Saturday my daughter had a birthday party she needed to go to that was
pretty far away. So it took most of the day. My son and I went to Best
Buy while she was at the pool party. I bought a new, cool mouse for gaming laptop.
Not sure I'll love it or not - but maybe it will up my WoW game DPS
(damage per second). We'll see. I had a coupon for Best Buy - so I save 15% on it.
Even better!
Sunday, my son had to work open to close at his job and my daughter and
I spent 5 hours cleaning house. (My husband is in Indiana - so that's
why there is no chatter of him over the weekend :-) MY daughter was such a good
helper. Even cleaned the bathrooms with me! It felt good to have it all
done. I made tator tot casserole for dinner with a big salad - and later that night I
watched the movie, "Answers to Nothing". It was good. I wanted to see
Dane Cook's first real dramatic role.
Other than that - I really stayed away from work this weekend. I did
check emails and answer some. I did read quite a bit on the webmaster
forums - so I wasn't totally away - but I wasn't here at my desk for hours on end either.
I'm continuing with my positive attitude. I'm re-reading (listening) to
the book The Secret. I'm just trying to create more positive energy in
my life. I am keeping a small journal and each day I am writing things down that I
am thankful for. I want to be more grateful with my life and attitude and this
certainly helps. Lets you see in writing everything
in your life that is a blessing. This is a good interview to listen to
on Oprah about gratitude and having a grateful journal. Interview with Sarah Ban Breathnach.
Getting all my "work stuff" done today and then running a few errands
later this afternoon. I need to run to the bank and deposit my Avon commissions - always a good thing!
And then I need to grab some more salad stuff at the store -- I always
try and have salad with dinner - the kids like it.... and it's good for all of us.
The info you're really wanting....
